Endless Frames: We Captured A Passage Through Time In Hong Qiao

Hundreds of intricate laser-cut acrylic sheets hung at different lengths create an illusion of a cavern-like portal, bringing to mind time travel and multiple dimensions, set against the backdrop of traditional cнιɴᴇsᴇ wooden doors and windows.

‘Endless Frames’ reimagines the Hong Qiao (Red Bridge) as a cavern-like portal that references traditional cнιɴᴇsᴇ wooden door and window frames—acting as a time tunnel, where the context of Kwai Chai Hong lends itself to the historical background for this piece.

The ghost-like appearance of the floating frames reflects the heritage of our past while similarly projecting bountiful hope and optimism for a brighter future. Reminders of lessons learned from the past while we continue to preserve our cultural heritage in a rapidly changing world.
